Incheon Fair 2009

In August, small cities full of excitement and fun will be created in Incheon. Global Fair & Festival 2009 Incheon, Korea will run from August 7th to October 25th in Incheon's Songdo International City. Its slogan is Lightening Tomorrow. It is the first international festival held with cities as its theme.

Under the ambitious vision of becoming a world-class city, Incheon Metropolitan City has been going all-out to prepare for the successful hosting of the Global Fair & Festival 2009 and the construction of advanced infrastructure.

This year is Visit Incheon 2009, Korea. Incheon's city government has focused on creating sightseeing programs and building sightseeing infrastructure. For these the city government, Incheon Tourism Organization, and the committee managing the event finished their overall preparations. First they set a symbol with three colors - yellow, blue, and red. This trinity stands for Global Incheon. Yellow symbolizes the hope, blue shows the dreams, and red signifies the passion of Incheon. Then, they selected a slogan - Come together, Fly Incheon.

Incheon Metropolitan City has been making a strong push behind 10 projects they hope will bring Incheon into the ranks of the world's top 10 cities by 2020, a top official of the city said. "Incheon is equipped with a world famous international airport and harbor. It will be reborn as a world class city through 10 ambitious projects," said Incheon Metropolitan City Mayor Ahn Sang-soo.
