AT&T today announced it plans to sell seven new smartphones in the first half of this year, including two from Palm Inc and five Android handsets-one which is Dell's new smartphone. The company says it also plans to sell handsets from Motorola and HTC. AT&T is the last major wireless company to add Android-powered devices to its smartphone lineup.

SEOUL, KOREA - Taihan Electric Wire said on November 18 it won a series of orders worth US$42 million for the supply of its ultra-high-voltage cables to Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Kazakhstan. In the Middle East, the company landed a $32-million deal to supply cables to a power substation in Shadadiyah, Kuwait, and a $6-million order for underground cable lines for Dubai Electricity and Water Authority.
