Apple have started taking pre-orders for the iPhone 4 in Korea before its official launch next month.
An official from KT said the order would be available from the stores and online shops. KT hopes another iPhone craze will occur just like when the iPhone 3 came out. iPhone 4 will arrive in Korea some time in September.
Last time, Apple has sold more than 800,000 iPhone 3's in Korea. That affected local mobile manufacturers such as Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics.
Since these two local competitors are ready to compete by releasing their new smartphones, the Galaxy S and the Optimus Q and Z, it will be interesting to see who will become the king of the smartphone market. According to Samsung and SK Telecom, the Galaxy S has already sold more than 700,000 phones in Korea.
