Nongshim's “Shin Ramen Black” has become the world's best ramen selected by the global travel website "The Travel" following the New York Times.
While announcing the "Ranking The Best Instant Ramen of 2020" on Oct. 8, the media selected Nongshim "Shin Ramen Black" as one of the best ramen BEST4 of the year.
The best ramen picked by The Travel is Singapore's "Prima Taste Laksa Ramen," Thailand's "Mama Ramen," and Japan's "Sapporo Ichiban Ramen."
The Travel cited the differentiated taste and texture of Shin Ramen Black, saying, "This is the top competitor to beat in the diverse world of ramen." The noodles of Shin Ramen Black are much richer and maintain a consistent flavor until the end than other ramens, and the soup added flavor with mushrooms and vegetables," it said.
It also introduced it as a bestseller by Amazon, the world's largest e-commerce company, and said it is worth challenging even those who can't eat spicy food.
Earlier in June, Wirecutter, a product review site for The New York Times, picked Nongshim's "Shin Ramen Black" as the world's most delicious ramen. Shin Ramen Black proudly topped the list of BEST11 instant noodles selected by reporters and experts.
Nongshim said, "It is thanks to the taste and quality of the Shin brand that works around the world." Shin Ramen has already been sold in more than 100 countries around the world, playing a leading role in the K-ramen craze that can be found anywhere in the world, and Shin Ramen Black is also considered a dish worth more than instant noodles in the U.S.
Meanwhile, 'The Travel' is a professional website that deals with lifestyle information related to travel, such as hotels, food and festivals. It is owned by Canadian media company 'Valnet Inc.’ and has about 4 million subscribers worldwide. The Facebook page also boasts of 2 million followers.
