KDC announced that company's sales reached KRW 36.8 billion in the first half of this year. It is a 24 percent growth from the same period in 2009. Also, the operating profit of the company reached KRW 35 billion, which is a 35 percent increase from a year ago.
Even though various businesses including networks and systems integration turned out better, the sales of the 3D division stood out. In the first half of 2008, the sales of 3D division was only KRW 109 million, but in the same period in 2009, the sales reached KRW 14.9 billion. In 2010, the sales reached KRW 24.2 billion. It amazingly multiplied 200 times in growth within just two years. Also, it is noteworthy that 90 percent of the revenue is raised overseas.
KDC entered the business as the first 3D Information and Communication operator in Korea in 2004. Since then, this company is deeply involved in the 3D business with subsidiaries such as i-Station, Barun Electronics Co., and Real Scope.
Now, they are targeting a total of KRW 100 billion in 3D-related revenue this year, and a total of KRW 550 billion in total sales for the company.
