SK Telecom and Samsung Electronic will jointly hold the 'Android Application Development Festival' in September. Before the event opens, they held a conference aimed at providing information and development-related knowledge to developers on August 27.
During the four hours of the conference, experts from various fields delivered speeches under the subject of the mobile ecosystem development effect. Nearly six hundred major developers visited the conference.
In particular, winners from a total of 3 previous competitions sponsored by SK Telecom were present to share their know-how to develop applications and experiences.
An official from SK Telecom said, "Under the partnership with mobile carriers, this conference was arranged to contribute to domestic mobile eco-system development by providing useful information to the developers." He continued by saying, "Through steady support, we will try to contribute to Korea's mobile content production."
This is the biggest application festival in Korea in which 90 teams total will participate and KRW 325 million will be granted as a prize. September 30 is the deadline to register for 'Android App Development Festival with SK Telecom and Samsung'.
