Arun, an eco-friendly social venture supported by SK Innovation, is drawing global attention for its high wastewater reprocessing technology.
Arun made an announcement on Jan. 30 that it has supplied its first equipment for testing 'Micro Filtering System (NCFS)' for water treatment to foreign countries such as the U.S. and Canada.
Arun was evaluated for its excellent economic and environmental value abroad by minimizing environmental pollution as well as allowing facilities to be maintained at reasonable costs by recycling contaminated water through wastewater treatment technology.
Arun and SLD Marketing in the U.S. signed an exclusive sales contract worth $500,000 on Jan. 25 for five states, including Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and New Mexico.
Through SLD marketing, Arun delivered test equipment to private companies in Texas. The facility will be expanded to businesses after testing and operating for more than three months.
Arun also signed a joint technology agreement with Osolno, a Canadian microbial processing system developer. Arun plans to combine Osolno's microbial processing system and sell it as a package when it finishes operating the test facility installed in Osolno in the future.
In addition, Arun was selected as the first Korean company to be selected as Imagine H2O, an American water industry accelerator.
Imagine H2O is a U.S. water industry accelerator that has attracted about $500 million in investment in about 129 start-up companies around the world.
