Harex InfoTech (CEO Kyung Yang Park), the provider of the user-centric payment shared platform ‘UBpay,’ and Seoul National University Graduate School of Public Administration (Dean Kwangho Jung), ranked 11th in Social Policy and Administration in the 2021 QS World University Rankings, have joined hands on a project to support low-income people in developing countries. The two organizations plan to boost the economic activities of people living in developing countries through their user-centric shared platform project.
The two organizations met on April 28 to sign the “User-Centric Shared Platform Project in Developing Countries MOU” and begin work on the project.
According to the agreement, the two organizations will establish a relationship to co-develop the project. The Seoul National University Graduate School of Public Administration plans to support the implementation of the user-centric payment shared platform project by helping to create favorable conditions and by carrying out policy research.
Harex InfoTech agreed to select local partners to operate the user-centric payment shared platform in their country and provide operations assistance. The user-centric shared platform is expected to contribute to financial inclusion and economic growth in developing countries through Fintech innovations, including screenless cash dispensers called Cash Machines and Calculators with payment button.
Harex InfoTech CEO Kyung Yang Park said, “Harex InfoTech supports safe, secure transactions between users and businesses with our ‘UBpay Platform,’ which allows users to connect directly with their financial institutions on their smartphone and request payment authorization with no middlemen,” and “With this agreement, user-centric payment services as well as other convenient services, such as membership points, order ahead & pickup, order & delivery, and taxi call & pay services, will be provided to people in developing countries to improve people’s quality of life while at the same time maximizing business revenues and profits.”
