CEWIT 2010 is the premier international forum focusing on the application of emerging technologies to major technical challenges, specifically regarding visual and cloud computing, smart medicine and life sciences and ubiquitous cities.
The second day of the conference started with the keynote speech by Oh Hae-seok, Special adviser to the president for IT Cheong Wa Dae Office of the President. Following the keynote, the audience heard speeches by Hwang Chang-kyoo, Secretary General, Office of Strategic R&D Planning, Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Ike Nassi, Executive Vice President and Chief Scientist at SAP and Khang Christopher S.W., President of Asia Region at CISCO.
About 500 invitees have attended the conference, including Song Young-gil, Mayor of Incheon city and Park Chan-Mo, President of National Research Foundation of Korea. The gathering is intended to be a forum for exchanges by researchers and review of a thesis for prospecting in the Smart Age.
Additionally, various products which use IT convergence technology will be exhibited during the event.
The conference is organized by the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT) in the United States and CEWIT Korea. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Incheon Metropolitan City, Incheon Free Economic Zone, and Stony Brook University.
