Facebook, the popular social networking site, has now been around for 6 years. The social networking site has reached over 500 million users from all around the world. This past Friday, "The Social Network," a movie about the creation of Facebook, was released in theaters around the United States.

The Social Network is about Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of Facebook. In the fall of 2003, he created this popular networking site in his dorm room while he was attending Harvard. The site instantly became a revolution in the world of social networking. The movie is mostly about Mark Zuckerberg and his life before and after Facebook was created. Through Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg became the youngest billionaire in history, but the movie is about the personal and legal complications he had to face after attaining his success. In the United States, it is currently the number one movie in theaters. The movie's logline is "You don't get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies."

The creation of this movie shows the dramatic change social networking has brought about in our world today. Through Mark's continuous blogging and programming, Facebook has become a social trend in today's society.
