Nitto Denko Corp., a Japanese firm founded in 1918 is a top-ranking manufacturer of optical films for LCDs, including polarizing film, polarizing film with retardation film, polarizing film with wide viewing film, and polarizing film with brightness enhancement film. They are a global company with a presence in 25 countries and operating areas in the world.
Nitto Denko's products are used in the electric/electronics industry, from home appliances and AV equipment to information equipment and electric devices. The company claims that their polarizing film for LCDs excels in transparency, reliability and workability. Being a leader in the industry means that they offer a wide variety of products to meet the specialized requirements of their customers.
Nitto Denko will be an exhibitor at the IMID 2010 event, where they will show a variety of optical materials based on the theme of "Nitto's Total Solution for LCDs."
Nitto Denko have become the world's largest supplier of polarizing film, specializing in seamless bottom polarizing film. This variety is used for public exhibitions, such as information displays and amusement facilities. These are large scale implementations that require a breath of expertise that only a company of Nitto Denko stature can provide.
Nitto Denko's high performance brightness enhancement technology, APCF, can improve optical utilization efficiency dramatically and enhance the brightness of LCD panels. Their process creates a film that improves brightness by reusing the light that is absorbed by the polarizing film, rendering a better user experience at no additional cost to the consumer. Sales and delivery of a polarizing film with APCF as a package provides added values, such as reduction in the number of processes that are required by the customer, as well as the features of the product itself.
High resolution surface treatment can improve visibility by controlling the surface profile so that it can be used on high resolution LCD panels, such those found in laptop computers and monitors. There is no "sparkling" and it has excellent anti-glare properties. "White" blur is from an oblique angle is also reduced.
Their polarizing film produces excellent smoothness, due to the unique technologies in Nitto Denko's process. Waviness seen in reflections are also reduced when mounted on a display, enhancing display quality.
Resaerch and development are what sets Nitto Denko apart from the competition. They are constantly searching for new ways to minimize the air gap to control diffusion of light. Their LUCIACS (OCA) fills the air gap nearly eliminating ghost and low contrast in bright places that occur with LCD with a cover-lens, due to the full-flat design and visual quality.
Nitto Denko has solutions used in capacitive touch panels, in the form of ITO films. Their patterns are etched on the ITO face. If the reflectance difference between the ITO area and the etching area is big, the visibility of the display is reduced. Nitto Denko has improved the visibility by using the ITO crystallization technology and under coating layer's refractive index and thickness design. They have been at this for a long time and it seems they have thought of everything.
Nitto Denko will have on display optical films, as well as double coated adhesive tapes and optical transparent base-less double coated adhesive tapes. Be sure to stop by their booth.
