Smart Korea 2010 is being held at KINTEX, Gyeonggi Province from October 12 to 15. Under the theme of "Hopeful future with IT", the event will look in to the future of IT and Korea. In attendance will be scholars from Korea and around the world who study future trends.
With the most talked-about and important keywords, 'conversance' and 'creativity', the Creative Future Forum will focus on the future of smart Korea on the first day of the event. Notable attendees include David Cohn, Director of Business Informatics at IBM's T. J. Watson Research Center and Peter Sondergaard, senior vice president in Gartner Research. They will speak on the future of IT and trends of IT industry in the next 10 years.
Lee Kark-Bum, Chairman of Presidential Council on Information Society will deliver a message on 'Vision of IT industry 2020', as the chairman of the forum. Panels including other experts will discuss Response Strategies for Korea IT's future.
On 13th of October, 7 government departments, to include the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, KCC (Korea Communications Commission) will announce the diffusion strategies of Convergence Technology and informatization though the use of IT. It is expected the government policies will be announced regarding national defense informatization, U-health activation, Boadcasting-communication convergence.
On the third day, attendees will map out the strategies for next year during the 'Prospect of IT industry conference'. The conference will highlight global IT trends and deliver market forecasts on key elements of the sector; semiconductors and displays. The event will also feature break-out sessions on 10 issues relative to the IT industry in 2010, 4G communications technology trend in development, and intelligent robot, to name a few.In the afternoon of the same day, a 'Global Cooperation Seminar' will be presented to seek the mutual cooperation and exploration of global markets with buyers from KES 2010 and IT commerce experts.
