Star Pickers announced on Nov. 15 that it developed Rider Log, which significantly reduces the risk of accidents.
Rider Log is a sensor based mobility control system. It checks the driving records based on sensors which allows it to track and record details of small vehicles that were not possible through GPS or security cameras.
“Rider Log analyzes speed, location, crash impact and driving patterns to detect damage, illegal activity, and accidents,” said CEO Park Chu Jin. “It also has an e-Call system where the AI detects accidents in real time and calls 119 and sends a distress alert to preset numbers.”
Since Rider Log is an extremely tiny and light weight sensor, it can be attached to any vehicle regardless of its size.
By collecting data from various mobility vehicles, it will be able to solve complex mobility problems arising from urban, rural, or tourist locations.
Thanks to this technology, it will reduce the insurance rates for insurance companies. With the increase in trust for accident data based on the motorcycle dashcams, it is expected to reduce insurance rates by 50%.
Star Pickers said it wants to go global based on the technology.
“We are participating next year at the CES 2022 in Las Vegas and this experience will help us effectively present our technology.”
Star Pickers has signed MOUs with companies such as Korea Rental, KT, SuperHero, Korea Deliver Rider’s Association, and Gwangju Creativity and Innovation Center to create a safer delivery culture.
“We dream to be the total mobility safety management solution by applying our technology to small mobility vehicles such as motorcycles, bikes, scooters, wheelchairs, and to autonomous driving so that drivers and pedestrians can all be safe,” said Park.
