Transcan, a 3D body scanner, simulates and anyalzes a patient

MINIMI DREAM Co. Ltd has introduced a innovative machine called 'Transcan', which is a 3D imaging device for full body scans without any physical contact. This product is able to take a full body shot within 0.1 seconds. The technology that it uses is applicable to various industries, such as medical, fashion, preventive medicine, oriental medicine, obesity clinics, fitness etc. The 3D image displayed on the monitor is received, and created to be analyzed by various software applications, which combine to provide accurate statistics. It will calculate the full length of the body, circumference, volume, body ratio, and also the full façade or a cross section that give various information. In addition to calculations and analysis, Transcan automatically provides exercise and nutrition recommendations. Different from other scanners, no waiting time is required. It is also harmless to human body since the shot is taken by 16 digital cameras rather than with laser methods.

Kim Chang-ho, president of MINIMI DREAM stated that this equipment will be a necessity and useful to the government, defense, labs, universities and others that require a close analysis for detailed database. For example, KRISS(Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science) says that Transcan will reduce the time for examining bodies in schools and the military that operates many physical examines, and be utilized to analyze and categorize standard body types, and also prevent obesity and diseases to maintain health.

Professor Ko Hyung-suk, Digital Clothing Center of Seoul National University expressed a positive gesture on the integration of the full-body scanner to the Digital Clothins Suite, which he himself has developed as a Clothing-IT Fusion system.

Transcan application enables patients to see their body in a 3D view.

Transcan spec
