hy announced on December 16 that its probiotics "HY7601" and "HY7714" won by the US FDA as New Dietary Ingredient (NDI).
NDI is a system that is recognized as a new health food raw material by having proven the safety of raw materials by the FDA.
HY7601 is a raw material for “Kill Fat,” a material approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. Kill Fat is a functional probiotic that can help reduce body fat.
HY7714 is a skin lactobacillus derived from breast milk. It can help maintain skin health from skin moisture and UV damage.
Last month, hy also won FDA Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) for two types of lactic acid bacteria, Kill Fat and Skin Health, HY7714. This made it possible to sell all of hy's main B2B products overseas.
Proven raw material stability drives sales. Cumulative sales of Kill Fat and HY7714 this year are 5.2 tons and 2.2 tons, respectively.
Meanwhile, hy launched a B2B exclusive brand "hyLabs" in May and is supplying 5 types of probiotics to about 10 places including Chong Kun Dang Healthcare.
