Samsung SDS won a prize for the 9 times in a row

Samsung SDS has won the Most Admired knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) competition in Asia for the 9th time in as many years. The announcement was made on Oct 13.


Asian MAKE Award, known as the Nobel prize in the knowledge enterprise field, is granted to the winners' success episodes by Teleos England.
The winner is selected based on their level of success in 8 key factors, which include ablility to capture the knowledge culture, support for the knowledge enterprise by top management, development of products and services based on knowledge, the level of efficiency in the management of the intellectual property sharing environment, cultivation of an atmosphere for consistent learning, the result of a quantitative analysis of maximization and utilization of  customers' knowledge.


Samsung SDS is tied with Toyota, the only other company to have won the award 9 times in a row.
A Samsung SDS representative said, "The key element of the Samsung SDS culture that leads to recognitionof this kind is constant innovation of knowledge management programs based on recommendations from a dedicated task force and the leadership that is demonstrated by our companies home and abroad."


16 companies from 7 countries, which are Korea, Japan, India, China and Singapore are known to have been in the running for the award, yet Samsung has prevailed again.
