DL E&C announced on January 13 that it developed an inter-floor noise notification technology that can notify the occupants of inter-floor noise and provide objective data.
As telecommuting and online education become commonplace due to COVID-19, and the time spent at home increases, disputes over noise between floors are increasing.
This technology is expected to contribute to resolving disputes between residents by preventing noise between floors and providing objective noise data.
When vibrations above a certain level are detected through sensors installed on the walls of the living room and household, a notification is automatically sent to the wallpad and mobile device.
If the noise between floors of an apartment building exceeds an average of 40dB per minute, the noise notification sounds a warning. When the noise level exceeds 43 dB per minute on average, it will sound a warning notification.
The interfloor noise alert sensor can detect both the heavy impact sound generated by the sound of a person's footsteps or running, and the light impact sound such as the sound of a chair being pulled.
Since the sensor is attached to the wall rather than the floor or ceiling, it is advantageous in terms of installation and maintenance.
It can also be used as an earthquake notification system that detects earthquakes when vibrations are simultaneously measured in all households.
