An active-duty soldier is paying with Nara-Sarang Pay at a Military Personnel Preferential Merchant located in Hwacheon-gun.

MMAA (Military Mutual Aid Association) C&C (President Kwang-soo Lee) announced that they have opened Nara-Sarang Pay on the Nara-Sarang Portal, which is managed and operated by the MMAA C&C themselves, with Harex Infotech (CEO Kyung-yang Park) which provides a User-Centric Simple Payment Shared Platform "UBpay". Nara-Sarang Pay provides QR payment and order/pick-up/delivery services exclusively for active military personnel located in five counties in Gangwon-do (Cheolwon, Hwacheon, Yanggu, Inje, and Goseong). In addition, active-duty military soldiers locatedacross the countrycan also use various benefits through the Benefit Zone in the app.

The Nara Sarang Portal has about 5 million members and is a life-cycle total service platform that supports military soldiers not only shopping but also in various fields such as language, employment, education, and military welfare. MMAA C&C will cooperate with Harex Infotech and five counties in Gangwon-do to provide Nara-Sarang Pay so that soldiers, the MZ generation, can use Nara-Sarang Portal more conveniently. 

The Nara-Sarang Pay service supports offline payment and order/pick-up/delivery services at Military Personnel Preferential Merchant located in five counties (Cheolwon, Hwacheon, Yanggu, Inje, and Goseong) in Gangwon-do Peace Area. Through the Nara-Sarang Pay, the service provided by the Military Personnel Preferential Merchant's refund in local gift cards will be converted into mobile points, and military personnel will receive up to 30% points if they pay with Nara-Sarang Pay at Military Personnel Preferential Merchant in Gangwon-doPeace Area.

Nara-Sarang Pay mobile service has a 0% order/sales fee,supporting small business owners in five counties in Gangwon-do to increase sales without the burden of transaction fees by breaking away from the shackles of big tech platforms. Additionally, it is a different and competitive model in terms of local government budget reduction and sales increase compared to other local governments’ local gift certificates service because those five counties in Gangwon-do don’t need to pay for a separate system buildup and operating cost.

"I'm so satisfied that the Nara-Sarang Pay service solves the inconveniences from purchasing to refunding and managing local gift cards," said an owner of Military Personnel Preferential Merchant located in Hwacheon-gun. "It is a helpful service not only for franchisees but also for soldiers who use Nara-Sarang Pay."

Through the ‘Narasarang Pay’, connected to soldiers’ bank account receiving the salary, loyalty points, coupons, gift certificates, tips & donations are processed with payment in one transaction to maximize the benefits and drastically reduce payment time.

An active-duty soldier who used it said, "When I used it, it was convenient because in one transaction I can pay, collect, and use the points and gift certificates on my mobile phone altogether. For the welfare of military personnel, I hope the benefits exclusively for active-duty military personnel in the Benefit Zone will steadily increase along with the numbers of Military Personnel Preferential Merchants in Gangwon-do."

MMAA C&C provides specialized services for military personnel with Nara-Sarang Pay. There are 7-Eleven, F-Diary, Yanadu, and SmartCon entered in the Benefit Zone to provide welfare benefits for military personnel. In the future, MMAA C&C plans to expand its Benefit Zone through partnerships with various companies.
