SK Telecom and SK hynix announced today that they would implement the “SK ICT Curriculum,” which delivers the practical knowledge and field know-how of field experts to universities to foster AI and semiconductor talent.

SKT and SK hynix will build an online education platform, develop regular curriculum, and open special lectures tailored to universities to overcome the shortage of AI and semiconductor talent.

First of all, the two companies have built an online education platform where SKT and SK Hynix each have expertise in AI and memory semiconductor-related contents.

Through the "SKT AI Curriculum," SKT provides 77 video lectures in 10 fields, focusing on voice-based AI technologies such as speech recognition, natural language understanding, and speech synthesis.

SKT's AI experts will introduce a variety of content from technology theories to the latest algorithms and actual AI service development cases.

In addition, 100 educational videos exclusively for SKT members and materials presented by SKT at various technology events are provided to support students' learning.

"SKT AI Curriculum", which is in its 6th year this year, has grown into a popular program that has been attended by more than 4,000 students at 20 universities across the country until last year.

This time, SK hynix established a "semiconductor curriculum".

In this curriculum, more than 80 educational contents can be found in 12 major job-related fields such as semiconductor process, device, and design.

Based on the competence and field know-how of SK hynix experts, it is composed of a practical training course.

A glossary of semiconductor terms and short-form videos are also provided so that students can access content easily and in a fun way.

The two companies introduced the new "SK ICT Curriculum" to professors and faculty at about 20 universities across the country and introduced future industry-university cooperation plans.

SKT and SK hynix have developed and are promoting the establishment of regular curriculum with Seoul National University in terms of educational cooperation in the fields of AI and semiconductor technology.

The two companies plan to sign business agreements with Korea University, Seoul National University, and Yonsei University from July 13, and continue to expand specialized courses for each university.
