Kim Seang-tae, President of the National Information Society Agency (NIA), was selected as the "The Information and Communication Person of the Year" as the recipient of the New Media Award 2010 on November 11th.
He has tirelessly contributed to the development of Information and Communication and his efforts for the advancement of Information and Communication is officially recognized.
Other winners were Kim Shin-Bae, Vice Chairman & CEO of SK C&C ('06), Nam Joong-soo, former Chief Executive of KTF of KTF ('05), Lee Yong-kyung, former President of KT and others.
The New Media Award is designed to achieve further recognition of the field of 'Information and Communication' by promoting industrial technology and product development in the age of information. The award ceremony was organized by New Media and sponsored by KCC (Korea Communication Commission), Hankooki and SK Telecom.
