Apple 1

One of Apple's original computers, the Apple 1, will be on sale at an auction in London, England. It's price is estimated to range from 161,600 to 242,400 USD.

The computer is quite pricey, but it is one of the original computers Apple co-founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak built in 1976 in Job's family garage. At that time, they completed their product and sold it for 666.66 USD.

The Apple 1 will be auctioned by Christie's in London, England on November 23. This computer up for sale is believed to be only one of about 200 computers in which Jobs and Wozniak created in 1976 and 1977. The computer features the Apple logo, which showed Isaac Newton getting hit on the head with an apple. For some, this computer is regarded as the first personal computer and the computer that sparked the technological revolution.

Even with it's enormously expensive price, this computer isn't quite the best performing computer relative to today's standards. There are reports that this computer doesn't even have a disk drive and is unable to power such games as Pong. However, this computer is relevant to Apple's history and illustrates their progression of over 40 years. Whoever ends up obtaining this rare computer will likely understand it's importance and will have a chance of owning a piece of Apple history.
