OnLive was launched in the United States in June and people were trying these new consoles out through a beta tester. This gaming console uses an acloud-computing system, which means games are stored on remote servers and delivered online when players call them up. Until now, those players used personal computers to play those games. This product was developed and released keeping up with the trend of cloud computing instead of selling hard copies of individual games which gaming companies are continually moving towards.
At the E3 gaming expo in June, OnLive announced it will be making 23 popular console games such as "Batman" and "Mass Effect 2" and will be available through their subscription service. In addition, OnLive will be offering a flat subscription rate for users to play all games which are available in their library.
