According to BBVA, a Spanish bank, South Korea is included in the list of 10 countries who will contribute more to the world economy in the next decade than any of the larger developed countries.
Along with Brazil, Russia, India, and China a group of nations also referred as BRIC; Turkey, Mexico, Taiwan, Egypt, and Indonesia, and Korea are predicted to account for 10% of the world growth. BBVA also included a list of potential developing economic powers that could emerge which also include other countries in the Pacific region such as Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
However, this is simply a prediction based on current data and cannot account for any unforeseen changes or shifts in the future.
