A site which was launched in Facebook back in 2009 is gaining attention. It is referred to as "Taggo" where it originates in Singapore, the site's experimental grounds. The basic concept is to cut down the amount of cards given from separate shops and give local shops the opportunity to create loyalty reward programs just like the market giants.
To use this service is simple; take another reward, debit, or credit card and enter the number into the site's record. Once you "like" a restaurant/shop on Facebook, it automatically sets up the card to be part of the reward system. There is no more signing up for individual cards which takes time and clutters up space quickly.
At first glance, it appears to be taking the concept that South Korean public transportation when it comes to refillable cards. Just like this service, it cuts down the bulk of many cards by making it possible for one card to have many functions. A brilliant concept took this basic idea and transformed it into a point card rather than a money card.
Although this service is only offered in Singapore now, it is time to prepare for the simpler and cleaner days. To sign up, click "like" on this site: http://www.facebook.com/Taggo.me Perhaps the more likes, the more likely it is to come to South Korea!
