Winners of 2010 Hi Tech Awards

Before the end of the year, IT personnel from various specialties and companies gathered one last time to celebrate the 2010 Hi-Tech Awards in the Army Hall on December 28th.

Gimm Young-Sil, president of Hi-Tech Information, welcomed the guests by saying "Thank you for attending the 2010 Hi-Tech Awards. I am pleased to invite all the admiring people in the IT industry today. The awards selected 11 winners from 11 sectors. I would like to congratulate all the winners that are here today for their hard work throughout the year. "

Since 1996, High-tech Information conducts an awards ceremony twice a year. It congratulates those who  have demonstrated hard work and who have left a benchmark of achievements and activities in various fields, in addition to improving morale.

At its 22nd awards ceremony, Lee Jong-Kyeong, CEO of Expernet recieved an award for the management section. The company is known for holding application security, solutions and technology for research and business. Choi Yong-ho, president of ALTIBASE Corporation was recognised for the technology sector. It is recognized that they developed their own proprietary database management system, and they greatly contributed to the globalization of domestic technology by exporting technology to oversee markets in America and Japan.

Continually, Roh Sung-soo, vice president of A-data Korea was selected as the best company for the global firm sector. Lee Dae-hoon, president of ICAN management won an award in the IT service sector.

200 IT personnel gathred for 2010 Hi-Tech Awards

In the export sector, the award went to Seo Hyung-su, CEO of Rsupport. The company exports independently developed remote control system technologies to 20 nations worldwide.

TILON Technology was selected as best solutions company. KT was named best firm in the mobile section. KT is the only carrier of the iPhone in Korea which brought on the smartphone craze with its introduction.

Also, Kim Hyung-seok, managing director and executive vice president of Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearing Institute won for financial information (KFTC). KFTC does much for the advancement of financial payment systems. It also improves competitiveness in international cooperation projects

Kim Hyoung-joong, professor of Korea University received the award for ICT Facility. Han Chi-geun, professor in Kyunghee Universirty was recognized for his work at Industry-University Collaboration.

Lastly, Statistics Korea is recognized for its efforts toward SME support. It has invigorated public bidding support and opened doors for SW companies.
