Las Vegas, Jan. 5, 2011 - At this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, LG Electronics (LG) will unveil its new range of smart home entertainment devices, which offer easy, intuitive access to an unbeatable range of content.

"LG is presenting a new vision of how consumers can live simply smarter, enjoying LG's smart home entertainment with their friends and family," said Havis Kwon, President and CEO of LG Home Entertainment Company. "With their advanced technology and easy-to-use functions, LG's new Smart TVs and Cinema 3DTM TVs are a perfect entry point for consumers looking to enter the world of smart entertainment."

With its "Point, Click, Control, Simply Smarter" capabilities, LG's Smart TV makes it simple to access a wealth of content. On a single screen, the Home Dashboard offers easy access to the full range of Smart TV entertainment, while the Magic Motion Remote Control makes things simple by offering single click access, and by letting viewers drag and drop, just like a PC.

The TVs' Smart Share function allows users to wirelessly stream content from compatible devices for viewing on their television screen. With Smart Share, users can also directly transfer stored content from their PC, and access simultaneous meta data - including actor profiles and plot synopses - about whatever movie they're watching.

LG's Smart TV offers top-quality content from global providers as well as specially selected regional content companies catering to different tastes around the world. In addition, a fast-growing range of LG Apps offer services ranging from lifestyle and education to entertainment and games.

LG's Smart TV functions are available on a wide range of models including the Smart NANO FULL LED-backlight LCD TV, which won the best of Innovations Award at this year's CES, the world's largest FULL LCD 3D TV, a Plasma 3D TV, and a selection of LCD TVs.

Completing the Smart TV range is LG's Smart TV Upgrader, the ST600. The Upgrader brings the benefits of Smart TV's premium content and LG Apps straight to your current set, and also includes the supremely simple user interface.

One of LG's TV highlights this year is the LW6500, a new LG CINEMA 3DTM TV that takes 3D images to new heights of brightness and clarity by using 3D technology and polarized 3D eyewear similar to the kind used in movie theatres. With LG's proprietary Film-type Patterned Retarder (FPR) panel, the TV delivers a first-class, virtually blur-free and flicker-free 3D picture with a wide viewing angle. The LW6500 also comes with comfortable and affordable 3D glasses that have no electrical parts, meaning they never need to be recharged.

LG will also be displaying a 180-inch Multi Vision Plasma Display, a combination of nine screens stacked three-by-three that can be expanded to create ever-larger displays. The ultra-thin screen border draws viewers even further into the immersive 3D viewing experience, with smooth and natural onscreen action.

Apart from the TVs, LG is showcasing 3D Blu-ray home theater systems, 3D Blu-ray DiscTM players, 3D monitors, 3D laptops, and 3D projectors that provide the perfect 3D entertainment experience for every occasion and every setting. Visitors to the LG booth at CES 2011 can experience the full line-up of CINEMA 3DTM devices with individually provided 3D glasses.

Also at this year's CES, LG will be demonstrating the first mobile digital TV displaying 3D images broadcast via the ATSC Mobile Digital Television Standard. The prototype 7-inch receiver is designed with auto-stereoscopic capability that eliminates the need for special viewing glasses to see stunning 3D TV images. An 84-inch Ultra Definition TV, currently the largest 3D LCD TV in the world, will also be on show, displaying LG's spectacular 3D images in their biggest version yet.

Also on show are the HX996TS, LG's first ever Real 3D Sound Home Theater System, the HB906SB, LG's Premium 3D Blu-rayTM Home Theater System, a 3D Network Blu-rayTM Disc Player and the D42P, the world's first flicker-free 3D monitor.

For a peek at the future of home entertainment, LG will be displaying its revolutionary OLED TVs. Included are a 31-inch 3D model with a depth of just 0.29cm, the slimmest of any OLED set in the world, and a 15-inch 15EL9500. By dispensing with back-screen lighting, OLED TVs' pixels generate their own light to produce an entirely new level of color, clarity and depth of blacks.

Demonstrating its ongoing commitment to innovation in home entertainment, LG will be showcasing the Pen Touch Plasma TV (PV550), a totally new type of display operated by touch. When you write or draw something onscreen, the TV sends a signal to the PC, which then interprets what's been drawn and reproduces it on the TV screen. The PV550 transforms the TV into a truly interactive experience, offering viewers the chance to draw, edit and play directly on their TV screen. It makes educational content fun and interactive, and can also be used to share calendars, diaries and memos on TV with the whole family.

The innovation continues with another new concept in display solutions: the 1X3 Pen Touch Multi Board. Combining Plasma multi-vision with LG's Touch technology, the Multi Board works flawlessly as a unified display, with the Touch pen operating seamlessly across its edges. With seams of less than 2mm, the Multi Board looks just like a single display.

LG is also showcasing the HW300T, LG's newest micro portable LED projector. Projecting crystal clear WXGA resolution, the HW300T packs connectivity options including Broadband connectivity, a built-in ATSC Tuner, and wireless DLNA, that let users link right up with a vast array of entertainment options.

LG's latest SUPER LED monitor line-up includes the E2290V LED monitor, which has the slimmest design ever seen on an LG LED monitor at just 7.2mm. Also debuting at CES is the E2381V, whose Super Plus Resolution function upgrades low picture quality to a vivid, high resolution. By combining IPS and LED technologies, the IPS6 monitor delivers a superior picture, while offering a wider viewing angle and greater energy efficiency than on conventional LED monitors.

Visitors can experience the full range of LG Home Entertainment products at Booth #8205 at the 2011 CES in Las Vegas from Jan. 6 to 11.
