One of the most anticipated exhibitions in Korea, the Seoul Motor Show 2011 is about three weeks to go. Before the Seoul Motor Show 2011 kicks off, the Organizing Committee for Seoul Motor Show had a press conference today at Lotte hotel in Seoul, Korea.
Under the theme of "Evolution, Green Revolution on Wheels", its 8th event is going to exhibit passenger cars commercial vehicles, motorcycles, fuel cells, tires, bicycles, parts and supplies from April 1st to 11st for 11 days in Kintex, Ilsan.
This is a biennial auto show where domestic and foreign auto makers showcase their latest models that are either in production or at the R&D stage as well as new technologies for future models.
Kwan Young-soo, Chair of the Organizing Committee for the Seoul Motor Show and president of the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association said, "A total of eight countries and 139 companies, finished car makers and component manufacturers at home and abroad, will attend the event. It is expected to be the largest show in its history by drawing more than one million visitors. We will introduce many new cars, concept cars which browse inside the future, eco-friendly cars such as hybrid cars, electric cars at the show.
For the first time since 1995, the Seoul Motor Show 2011 specially invites the world famous automobile CEOs for the "World Automobile CEO Forum". With this, we also offer a number of special events during the show. We hope this event will improve Seoul's brand image as well as nation's economy growth and all visitors and exhibitors are satisfied with this event."
Huh Wan, Director General of the Organizing Committee for Seoul Motor Show explained that visitors can see everything auto-related such as world auto market trends, auto principles, and new technology at a glance.
The Seoul Motor Show 2011 will display 54 new cars including HND-6, KIA's KND-6, GM Korea's Miray, Samsung Motor's newest SM7 and Daewoo Bus's BC211M. Along with 23 concept cars and 32 green cars will be shown to the public during the show. Parts companies at home and abroad will also release their future-oriented cutting-edge products.
Starting from the「World Automobile CEO Forum」 on April 1, the Seoul Motor Show 2011 will be holding various events during the show such as 「Telematics International Seminar」,will be held on April 5-6 for two days,「Collegian Self-made Car Contest」,「Collegian Automobile Design Contest」,「UCC Contest」 and 「'Best Car of the show' Awards by jounarlists」.
Seoul Motor Show forecasts that economical riffle effect will reach approximately KRW 1 trillion by attracting 12 thousand oversea buyers.
