The Korean affiliate of Merck KGaA, Germany-based chemical and pharmaceutical company, supports exhibition of Kye-Song Lee, whose artwork introduced through Merck Calendar 2011.
Merck Korea has been introducing Korean fine art through Merck calendar. In the Calendar 2010, the Busan based painter Ms. In-Soon Oh painting has been highlighted. For the Calendar 2011, the company decided to introduce the work by the Pyeongtaek based artist Mr. Kye-Song Lee. Since 2009, the company started making efforts to promote local culture by introducing Korean fine art around the world.
Merck wants to contribute Korean art development by supporting exhibition of Kye-song Lee. Kye-Song Lee is a western-painting artist, who has expressed a balance and harmony with light and lines by using five traditional oriental colors. The exhibition will be held from Mar. 30 to Apr. 5 at Insa Art Center.

Lee, born in Pyeoungtaek, has spent almost all his life in his place of birth." and "He is a master when it comes to lines and light to express balance and harmony.
