Ubiquitous gowns which contain medical gadgets will be provided to patients. The u-gowns will check patients' biological information, such as heart rate, respiratory conditions, and amount of activities. The information will be sent to doctors in real time.
Patients will also be supplied with portable urine analytical equipment that will check urine for sugar content, hematuria and albuminuria. IT fusion technologies will be introduced into people's everyday lives to make their life healthier.
All this will be possible with a grant of W17.3 billion (US$ 13.68 million) from the government through 2011 to commercialize IT fusion technologies. U-Gowns and other such medical gadgets will be provided to public health clinics, hospitals, and homes with elderly family members late this year for trials.
