Minnesota, USA May 3, 2011- Earlier today Amazon announced that it started a new site, myhabit.com, which offers designer brands. Unsurprisingly, it claims that it could save designer brand customers up to 60 percent off of the normal retail price. According to Press Releases, "MYHABIT gives fashion customers an elegant and easy-to-use online destination for private sale shopping... Couple that with a curated selection of the best brands, free shipping and free returns, and new features like 360-degree video footage, and MYHABIT sets a new standard in service, convenience and product presentation."

MYHABIT features brands such as Elizabeth and James, Vera Wang, and Doo.ri, which are up for a limited amount of time as the selection changes daily. If this is any indication, designer lovers will be logging in each day to find their perfect 'outfits' and snatching them up right away! No more "waiting game".

The website offers details on clothing that everyone needs to know: material, care instructions, clothing measurements, listing price as compared with its price and return policy information. The pictures and video footage are astounding since they are so clear and large which enables customers to see exactly what they are purchasing. For those who want to see images even bigger by using zoom, it does not show a 'grainy' image like a lot of websites do.

Amazon makes it easy for its registered customers to use this other site by allowing the log-in to be the same as the Amazon website. It offers a small amount of customization by asking two questions to decipher which initial 'view' would be more suitable for your needs - for example, the section in which you think you will shop the most (women, men, or baby). In addition, it takes away the frustration of the 'perfect product' having the inability to ship to the location since users will specify this information prior to entering the site.

Once you enter the site, you will realize that MYHABIT makes it easy to toggle back and forth between different areas of shopping: women, men, and baby. Basically, do not sweat over choosing one option of customized viewing and later needing another. Yes, MYHABIT wants you to shop all sections, so it wants this to be in plain view!

MYHABIT's layout is entirely different from Amazon as it boasts a 'clean' interface. Undoubtedly, it focuses primarily on the product it is presenting by having its 'events' of the day pop up on a scrolling viewer as the mouse runs over the main picture of the website. The items will change each day as there is a new 'event'; it may be safe to assume that there cannot be any 'out-of-date' clothing.
