2011 Korea Electronics Show for the Smart Age

KES 2011 gets global

The 2011 Korea Electronics Show (KES), one of the biggest exhibitions in Korea, is going to be held on October 12 through 15 for 4 days in Ilsan, KINTEX.  Last year's Korea Electronics Show, with the theme "IT is my life", was organized as an exhibition signifying that IT is deeply involved in our everyday lives, and it displayed the future trend of the upcoming smart age by introducing new smart-devices, 3D, Green IT, and convergence solutions.

With the theme "Be Smart", a more unique and fruitful 2011Korea Electronics Show is expected to clearly demonstrate the peak of the smart age which is being referred to as the new industrial revolution.

Like the previous year, smart devices, 3D, Green IT, convergence solutions, digital broadcasting, and LED are being prepared with better perfection for this show. In particular for 2011, the software sector with smartphone apps and cloud computing is newly under way to be emphasized as key point in the smart age.

A complete value chain, from component parts to end products and even software are all necessary in the smart age. From this, a market platform will be established for the exhibition in order for it to emerge as Asia's representative global exhibition.

This year, especially since March, related personnel are running all over the scene to attract buyers in countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia, China, and Taiwan. As a result,  far more participation is expected from the buyers compared to last year.

Representatives were in China for a week from June 12th to 17th to attract buyers in Chongqing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, They received promises from the Chinese government and companies for cooperation in network and support. Moreover, by discovering domestic buyers in different sectors such as home shopping, distribution centers, church, and national defense, buyers of genuine quality are expected to draw a great deal of attention from participant companies.
