As the week started, Siheung City brought the fish all the fishermen would like to catch to the table. On July 4 in Seoul's Hyatt Hotel, Siheung City held its investment roadshow to promote its development projects to domestic entrepreneurs. Warmly welcomed by many investors, Siheung City presented the city's major development projects.

"Siheung's growth potential is limitless. Through this investment roadshow, I hope investors will be able to see what the city has got," Kim Yoon-sig, Mayor of Siheung City, said.

Since Siheung is packed with industrial competitiveness, eco-friendliness and IT convergence, the city is emerging as the land of opportunities and an ideal place for investment. Siheung City is pushing several projects hard such as Shiwa's MTV, Borrow pit, Gunja, Old Saltern, and Maehwa Industrial Estate.

"Siheung considers a major growth driver to be human resources. People usually say human power is power. The city is home to many technical colleges. And Seoul National University's international campus is scheduled to open in 2014 in Gunja, Siheung. It means that Siheung will become a global education city as a center of highly skilled manpower. Along with Seoul National University's international campus, the facilities, hospitals, and bio-medical R&D centers are being built as well," a representative from Seoul National University explained.
