Minnesota, USA -September 8, 2011 - Business pages across Facebook vary from store to store; yet, one San Franciscan company, Sneakpeeq, is dramatically different by incorporating the 'social interaction' aspect of Facebook. Sneakpeeq is a Facebook app, which allows its users to 'peek' at products by clicking on them to reveal the price; when users click on the products, it knows that the product is liked, so it adds it to the 'liked' products for friends to see. The incentive for using this app is that the more clicks a product gets, the cheaper it becomes; however, users need to decide quickly -within seconds - or the chance to get that deal could disappear.

Sneakpeeq app is designed to feel like a game; users can 'peeq' at only 10 items in one day. For users who love shopping -such as me - it encourages us to limit ourselves to browsing only the few products which we truly love; this gives Sneakqeek and our friends our 'top picks' instead of a long trail of 'liked' products. In addition to the 'peeq' limit, users acquire 'points' each day from the peeqs. The points advance users to different levels, which give users access to a variety of perks -who would not mind seeing a percentage off a price or free shipping Undoubtedly this app will add to the thrill of shopping -as if it was not thrilling enough! We may all become shopaholics - but in a 'social' and 'influential' way.

Various companies, such as Macys, sign up with Sneakpeeq to put items such as gift cards or other merchandise up for viewing; luckily, this will not cause the in-store value to fall because it only allows its users access to that 'lower' price for a very short period of time. Companies do not need to worry about the price falling below the 'final product price'. Yet, users are still able to obtain great deals. Unfortunately there is not enough time to 'browse' for price comparison, so users need to depend more on their 'gut feeling' than anything else; basically there could be a better price somewhere else, but the users would not know until after purchasing it -if they chose to do so.

Back when Facebook's 'Question' feature launched, we thought it could be a useful tool for 'shopping' related questions; users could post photos and ask friends for their opinions on them. Unfortunately, it did not develop in this way. Although Sneakpeeq does not offer large quantities of any item like a store would, it helps to see what your friends like. We cannot stand in a store or browse the internet and post a 'question' to get opinions, but the 'Sneakpeeq way' is quicker.

Companies that work with Sneakpeeq are likely to receive more attention; the 'smaller' companies cannot get as much recognition when they market themselves. If we play our cards right by giving all companies more chances for new customers, our economy could be playing high in no time!
