Minnesota, USA -September 21, 2011 - Amazon just released a statement that the Kindle is now ready for the library system; finally after releasing its plans earlier in the year, it collaborated with the public library to give its users the chance to 'borrow' books instead of constantly buying them online. Now, it joins the Nook and the Sony e-reader that already is connected to the library; however, the Kindle is the first to be able to download a book wirelessly -it can also download via USB.

Among the more than 11,000 libraries who will offer the Kindle e-books, the variance on what is offered and any other limitations is large; depending on the library, there may be some restrictions on how many e-books can be borrowed at one time and which books are available. In order to figure out this information about your library, simply visit your library page and search for books. If it is available on the Kindle, it should have a 'send to kindle' button.

From there, it will take you to login to Amazon; this will direct you to the book where it will be sent to your Kindle wirelessly. If you are not using a Kindle but a device with the app, you may choose to do it via USB. All of this is made possible due to Overdrive, a technology that takes print books and converts it for the libraries to be available electronically -for any device.

There are sites that offer older books and 'aspiring authors' books for free; now, it is a relief that the library will also offer books which are mainstream and popular. It may require some time before many e-books are offered at the libraries for the Kindle, but the wait is worth it. After all, nothing could be better than a free book -even though there is small duration of time that it's only available to us.

The Kindle can be used to take notes and highlight sections of books; with the library loan system, these will be saved so that the users can still access them if they check out the book again or if they purchase the book in Amazon. There is no other e-reader that does this at this time. It gives incentive for users to start with the library version and buy the book if there is enough information that they need in the future.

Finally, Kindle users get access to great books for no price at all; except if they plan on buying the book if it is that great. Amazon and the library make it easy. Head over to your library's homepage to get more information! There is no need to visit the library like you would before.
