The Broker Forum is on hand at the 2011 Korea Electronics show to attract interest in its subscription based online market place. Established in 1996, as an electronic bulletin board, this Canadian based company currently headquartered In Quebec, has evolved into a well-recognized online trading platform, where members can buy and sell active and passive components, integrated chips, semi-conductors, diodes, transistors and other electronic components. According to the website, “It provides buyers and vendors in the electronic components industry a global trade marketplace, dedicated to giving members the ability to make timely and well-informed decisions through innovation and leading solutions.”
Vice-President of operations, Jean-Michel Stam explains that what the company excels at is helping companies meet real-time deadlines. They use their database of over 60 million entries, to connect equipment manufactures with vendors. So that when in demand components are “sold out”, they can find vendors who still have some in stock. This membership service helps companies keep the ball rolling, and not halt their production schedule. Mr. Stam spoke at length about how his service helps players on both sides keep a healthy price point, meet demand, increase distribution, and over all make good business. He is looking forward with optimism to what new opportunities the Broker Forum will discover at KES 2011.
