As CDs and DVD’s lose favor in the evolving digital media market, suppliers of storage are scrambling to find alternatives. Technopark who has historically provided large distributors in Russia with these products is hunting other products to offer.
Bondaernko Maxim, the Head of Product Management Department, and Suskin Andrey, the Development and Marketing Director, are scouring KES, looking for products suitable to fill this vacuum. Recognizing Korea’s dominance in the field of online gaming, they had hoped to find innovative new products such as gaming keyboards or mice to introduce to Russia consumers. They spoke about the difficulties they were facing, mentioning a lack of truly new products to choose from. More over, they mentioned that most these products, while being designed and branded by Korean companies are actually being produced in China, and Russian consumers aren’t interested in buying Chinese made goods due to a perceived lack of quality.
In the quest for diversification, they were open to any products likely to be popular. Two solutions which caught their eye after exploring their first ever KES, were tablet pens, which are being displayed by several Korean manufactures, and can easily integrate with existing tablets such as I-Pad and Galaxy, and touch screen white board style, monitors useful both in boardrooms and classrooms, and the easily introduced into existing projection setups.
