The Broker Forum is online market place open to members only, similar to Trading Platform. Headquartered in Quebec, Canada, with Asian office in Shenzhen, the Broker Forum has more than 3,000 member companies in 60 countries, including 300 in Korea. Membership is allowed only to distribution companies, which trade electronic parts such as Intergraded Chips for active and passive components, semiconductors, diodes and transistors.
Its Shenzhen office arranged KES 2011 participation with seven member companies joining, including Jiaweiyi, TY International Trade Limited, and Chip9. The companies from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Singapore, came to Korea to promote themselves, network, and build new business partnerships. During the course of the 3 day event, the 7 companies had tens to hundreds of meetings and laid the foundation for more collaboration.
Rich Lee, sales manager of Jiaweiyi, mentioned that Jiaweiyi has been distributing electronics parts such as semiconductors and active and passive components for 7 years around the world. "So far, after having 120 or so meetings, we have many big buyers who we can actually sign a contract with." Jiaweiyi is a distributing company located in Shenzhen, China and is dealing with Samsung Electronics in Korea and distributing electronics parts to AVNET, YOSUN, WDG in the US and Europe.
