Sun Korea Distributes Servers to Cooperative Cos. that Migrate their Systems to Solaris 10

Sun Korea operates the Ten Move Ahead support program for cooperative companies, in order to expand recognition levels for Solaris 10. For this purpose, Sun Korea has been distributing thousands of Opteron operating systems free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis to companies that are participating in the program now. Sun Korea Microsystems announced that it is planning to freely distribute Opteron servers to activate the recently announced Solaris 10 operating system, to cooperative companies that migrate their operating systems to Solaris 10. The Ten Move Ahead program, the program for Solaris 10 cooperative companies, is operated by Sun Korea. Therefore, the Company is planning to freely provide the Solaris 10, Opteron server, plus technical support, marketing strategy, sales promotion, to the thousands of cooperative companies that introduce the Solaris 10 operating system into their solutions. As an innovative Unix operating system, the Solaris 10 added more than 600 new functions. It is a neutral platform which does not belong to a specific platform or hardware. The Solaris 10, standing at the security level of the Ministry of National Defense and having excellent efficiency, reduces the computing resource waste of customers and provides a unique function to the developer so that the practical use, solubility, facility for management, security for application, can be improved. Notably, the Solaris 10, the most suitable for the AMD Opteron 64-bit processor, provides excellent functional efficiency at lower architectural cost. Not only that, it provides binary compatibility for 32 bits and 64 bits.
