Bank of Korea can now manage and integrate its IT infrastructure through introduction of CA UNICENTER
Computer Association of Korea uses the integrated control system to expand its customer base and boost its marketing capability
On Jan. 26, 2005, the Korea Computer Association said that it had just completed installing an integrated IT infrastructure control system called UNICENTER for the Bank of Korea.
Through this project, the Bank of Korea will be able control its IT infrastructure as well as manage total systems through issuing an early warning. As well, the Bank will be able to develop its services by using a wide range of statistical and analytical methods.
The CA of Korea has worked on this project for 4 months from September to December 2004, providing such products as UNICENTER Networking system management (UNICENTER NSM) and UNICENTER database performance management (UNICENTER DPM).
As a matter of fact, the Bank of Korea had been increasingly plagued by the problem of controlling its operating systems, as they are getting large and complicated. Therefore, the Bank resorted to a statistical solution to counter the problems.
A Bank of Korea spokesperson said, "We had such difficulties as quick understanding or acknowledgement of complex and unexpected situations. There was a vital need for integrated systems in controlling and solving problems regarding a wide range of equipment."
The spokesperson continued: "As a result of the introduction of the CA UNICENTER system, we can increase our work efficiency since from this internal structure we can receive a wide variety of operating reports. We can then do a quick follow-up on the problem by using a real-time warning system. Moreover, all of these systems allow us to have a little more peace and comfort in our workday!"
