Wonju, Medical equipment manufacturer Sonic World(CEO Su-Ho Choi, www.sonicworld.kr) revealed that “home sound-wave vibration exerciser SONIX was selected for Good Design (GD) Product of 2011 Korea Outstanding Industrial Design.”
'2011Korea Outstanding Industrial Design Exhibition’ is the most prestigious design exhibition hosted by Ministry of Knowledge and Economy and conducted by Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP), and all products used in everyday lives are chosen and announcedannually since 1985.
An associate of SonicWorld explained the ground for choice saying that “SONIX is a smooth-shaped medical device without a sharp edge or tip so that anyone can easily and comfortably make use of at home, and its unique and classy design has led it to being chosen.”
SONIX generates sonic vibration of 3~50Hz band using the electromagnetic technology and sound speaker principles, stimulating the muscles that are usually difficult to exercise, and therefore is efficient for muscle strength reinforcement, bone density increase, growth hormone increase, blood circulation, lymph circulation, posture and sense of proportion improvement, fat burning, stretching, and fatigue recovery.
Also, it is characteristic of its compact design compared to the existing product so that it can be easily installed and relocated indoors. It was manufactured with mold-injection ABS overall to reduce weight and the number of edges were reduced as much as possible to prevent the user from getting hurt.
The plate surface was designed with an anti-slippery pattern to add to safety. CEO Su-Ho Choi expressed the determination that “in future, we will continue to develop the performance as well as the unique and classy design to the preference of the consumers to satisfy various demand in the meantime.”
