Korea) -- Freescale Semiconductor’s portfolio of secure broadband gateway solutions has won the prestigious 2011 InfoVision Award in the category of “Enabling Silicon and Component Level Technologies." Presented last week at the 2011 Broadband World Forum Europe event, the InfoVision awards have long been established as one of the industry’s top programs recognizing excellence in the broadband marketplace.
Freescale’s portfolio of secure broadband gateway solutions includes advanced multicore QorIQ processors, optimized low-level software, and commercial-grade VortiQa networking application software which combine to provide a range of production-ready solutions in a single box. Freescale’s comprehensive solutions approach to the wireless access and security markets also includes third party software and leverages the power and performance benefits of QorIQ silicon to help customers get to market faster with differentiating products.
The award-winning solutions from Freescale provide OEMs and ODMs what they need to quickly and cost-effectively create a range of secure gateway applications, including unified threat management (UTM) appliances, IPS/IDS appliances, secured routers, VPN routers, secured switches, Wi-Fi access points, VoIP gateways, and multi-service business gateways.
