Korea-Germany Association Annual Meeting The Korea-Germany Association (KGA) held its Annual Meeting on May 1 at the outdoor garden of the GreenCross Corporation. The Association was founded to promote cultural and academic exchange between Korea and Germany. Huh Young-sup, chairman of the Green Cross Corporation, and who serves as chairman of this Association, has contributed to building ties of friendship between the two countries through the activities of the KGA. Serbia-Montenegro embassy reopened in Seoul A commemorative event to mark the re-opening of the Seoul embassy of Serbia-Montenegro was held April 11 at the Seoul Millennium Hilton. The event also marked the 15th anniversary of the founding of diplomatic relations between Serbia-Montenegro and the Republic of Korea. The members of the Seoul diplomatic corps who attended the function in large numbers, congratulated Amb. Zoran Veljic on the Embassy re-opening. The Embassy also announced that at the 52nd International Documentary and Short Film Festival held April 20th-24th 2005 in Belgrade, capital of Serbia and Montenegro, the Grand Prix was awarded to the Korean short film director, Hye-Jung Um. Entitled Jeul-Geo-Wun Wori-Jib (Home Sweet Home), the 17-minute short fiction film directed by Hye-Jung Um was among 33 films in the international competition. The 10th Anniversary of Korean/Egyptian diplomatic relations The Embassy of Egypt held a commemorative function to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Egypt on April 15 at the Seoul Millennium Hilton. The Embassy of Egypt also staged a performance of traditional Egyptian dance and music to add to the festivities.
