The company succeeded in developing the world first high-stiffness composite line boring bars and reamers, an automobile engine manufacturing tool. He especially emphasizes that without innovative technology he could not break into the world market. Vision Inno Tech, Co, which specializes in the design, development, production and servicing of jigs and tools (e.g., line boring bars, reamers and honing tools, etc.) and metal pressed products (e.g., sleeves) is poised to bring about remarkable innovations in the global tool market with its composite automobile parts and tools. The composite line boring bar is a special tool for high-speed precision manufacturing of various machine parts including an automobile engine head. Kim underscores, nlike existing tungsten carbide alloy or heavy metal products manufactured in Germany and Japan, those jointly developed by our company and KAIST are world-class carbon fiber composite products. The company president explains, ight times as light as the existing tungsten carbide products, our composite line boring bar is easy to handle. It also features high relative stiffness and damping and thus enhanced dynamic stiffness and natural frequency. He further went on, ccordingly, it guarantees stable processing without chattering at over 20,000 rpm (revolutions per minute) while existing tungsten carbide products cannot exceed a maximum rotation speed of 7,500 rpm. Pointing out that the times are changing to an era that demands high-speed precision manufacturing, Kim stresses that Vision Inno-tech composite line boring bar is an innovative new a tool corresponding to these demands. Mr. Kim is confident that the market for its composite line boring bar will progressively increase, considering that the company product quality is being already been verified in the U.S. and Japan markets since its top-line products are already mass-produced there. Based on this core technology, Vision Inno-tech aims to capture also other high-speed precision manufacturing fields with its specialized equipment and machinery field such as precision aircraft parts, aircraft fuel pumps and so forth, Kim said. To achieve this goal he appeals for government support, saying that it is absolutely necessary to nurturing core technology and adding at the same time that Vision Inno-Tech has been close to insolvency several times because of financial difficulties.
