China exhibition

Established in 2002 as a display components manufacturer, Mirae Nano Tech Inc. is becoming a global supplier of the top-class nano components. Its main products include a display optical film, retro-reflective film, grid electrode film (GEF), and window film, and, especially when it comes to optical film, it has an impressive 20 percent of share, beating 3M and, therefore, ranking number one in the global market. This year, the company is planning to launch three new businesses – retro-reflective film, GEF, and window film – based on the original technology and know-hows it has gained over the years, and to expand its competitiveness in the market.

Now is the time for Mirae Nano Tech

The retro-reflective film of Mirae Nano Tech is used for traffic signs, and it has high or ultra-high luminance compared to normal retro-reflective films. The company has independently developed the retro-reflective film, which requires a high technology as it needs to warrant 10 years of outdoor use, and started the sale in 2011, and, early this year, launched an ultra-high luminance product for the 4th time in the world, attempting to extend their presence in the traffic sign market. The retro-reflective film of Mirae Nano Tech has both high luminance and thermal resistance, thanks to the UV manufacturing technology, and boasts an equal level of quality to 3M as well as a reasonable price. While the market so far has been led by 3M, it was Mirae Nano Tech that replaced most of the traffic signs used in Korea with domestic products now. Recent development and release of ‘ultra-high luminance’ and ‘fluorescent color’ products, which used to be exclusive to leading retro-reflective product manufacturers like 3M and Avery, certainly reinforced its competence.

The retro-reflective film

Within merely one year after setting out proper marketing in 2011, Mirae Nano Tech has already started exporting the products to eight countries: China, Japan, Turkey, Singapore, Africa, Poland, Sri Lanka, and India. With Turkey, in particular, the company signed a supply contract of a large scale, boosting the prospect of more export in 2012. Moreover, as it is soon to agree on a contract to supply for China’s top traffic sign manufacturer, it is easy to imagine that its retro-reflective film will draw even more attention in the global market.

Miraenanotech has been awarded the KOTRA Seal of Excellence since 2010.
