The word “transformer” means to transform or change something. It actually has nothing to do with a car transforming into a robot though it is a device that transfers one circuit of electrical energy to another with inductively coupled conductors. In fact, the transformer is practical and economical for long-distance transmission. Another electric device related to the transformer is called the “generator,” which, as appropriately named, can generate electrical energy. The company that best represents these two electrical devices is POWERMAX.

“Customers First “

According to CEO Mr. Sechang Chang, POWERMAX was created in 2000. The company took over the mission of Leechun Electric that originally built the heavy electrical industry in Korea. Currently the company is now competing with other corporations for the role of creating a world-wide power infra. By concentrating on investments and R&D, POWERMAX is determined to maintain their own philosophy of “customers first” through experience, accumulated know-how, and innovative ideas.

The Mission of POWERMAX

Power Transformer

POWERMAX is currently designing and manufacturing the largest capacity of 80MVA medium voltage transformer. The company also has environmental awareness for greenhouse gas emission. They have continued to develop environment-friendly, high-efficient, and compact products by using vegetable fluid. This generator provides excellent quality & performance under excessive loads, credibility, and compatibility  in diverse fields. Thanks to POWERMAX’s technology development, this device also provides easy maintenance and repair for operators. You can check out the POWERMAX website (www.powermax.kr) for more information.

In the world of electronics, customers are not willing to take any chances when they buy electric devices, and usually the market sharers tend to be unchanged and rarely replaced. This is a difficult role for Korean manufacturers that are seeking to penetrate into the global market and compete against major players such as ABB and GE. However, circumstances recently took a positive turn and the overall image of Korean products remarkably improved, and  received global attention. The  halo-effect from the KOTRA seal also assisted  POWERMAX in convincing foreign buyers to purchase the products with confidence.

Powermax has been awarded the KOTRA Seal of Excellence since 2010.
