The sole specialized robotics school in Korea As Daeduk College's school company 'D2E Robotics' has posted revenues of 140 million won just five months after its establishment, this company is emerging as an incubation center for nurturing local talent, offering specialized industrial-related education. This company aims to raise the employment rate of its graduates and to reinforce on-the-spot practical ability as students take part in firsthand learning activities from the initial planning of a product right through to production and sales.
As a mobile robot toy development /manufacturing/sales firm, D2E Robotics aims to dominate the domestic robot toy market for education by 2007.
Prof. Kang Jong-Gyu, Ph.D., Director of Daeduk College's Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, explained that the college 'caught two rabbits'.'practicecentered education' and 'student venture business nurturing'.within a short period since the establishment of a school company through D2E Robotics.
By securing a position as a frontrunner in the domestic robot toy market for education by 2008, which will provide a launch pad for advancing into overseas markets by 2010 and conquering the intelligent-model service robot market for education by 2012, D2E Robotics is well-positioned to establish itself as a representative brand for intelligent-model service robots for education both in the domestic and overseas markets.
