Change for the Better

Pipe Rack System

Have you ever heard of the term Kaizen It is Japanese for “improvement” which refers to practices that focus on continuous improvement of processe. This was first implemented in several Japanese businesses after the Second World War. As part of the Kaizen, Japanese firms introduced pipe rack systems to replace conventional steel racks in manufacturing. Pipe rack systems are easier and faster to produce, design and are recyclable since they use bolts and nuts. The GS ACE Industry is one of the few Korean companies to adopt the technology and has now grown into one of the biggest in the global industry.

Pipe rack systems can improve productivity and reduce cost with simple ideas and design utilizing plastic coated pipes, metal joints, roller tracks and other accessories. The system is not difficult to understand and workers on site can apply their ideas for improvement with ease. The product does not contain any harmful materials to the human body and meets the requirements of RoHs. One key feature is the steel pipe. It is coated with ABS, and recoated with the new material of PA ABS. Compared to the conventional ABS coating pipe, D-Coat pipe is outstanding in oil resistance and chemical resistance. In particular, salinity, rust preventative oil or cutting oil does not cause damage or discoloration to the pipe.

Pipe Rack System Goes Global

Established in 1993, the specialized firm in pipe rack systems has more than 20 agencies around the globe. Its product lines are officially registered with their own codes in large automobile industries such as Hyundai Motors, Kia Motors, and Toyota Japan. Its biggest client is Toyota, followed by firms in Germany, the U.S.A., and Mexico. “GS ACE is quite well-known in the pipe rack industry worldwide. The total export value of over 20 million dollars every year proves that,” said the company. Today’s manufacturers are challenged to increase productivity while lowering manufacturing costs. Properly employed, the dynamics of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing can result in an increase in productivity by eliminating non-value added waste.

GS ACE Industry has been selected as the KOTRA Seal of Excellence since 2009.
