The 8th subcommittee meeting of the Study Groups (SG) 12 and 13 of ITU's Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) was held on August 10 at the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) of Korea.
At the meeting, a total of 40 contributing papers were reviewed comprehensively for their presentation at ITU's working group meetings in Geneva.
In addition, TTA, the non-governmental organization for the telecommunication standardization, formed a 22-member Korean delegation that will participate in both the ITU's Study Group 13 meetings and the meetings of the Focus Group on Next-Generation Networks (FG-NGN) being held in Geneva from August 24 to September 9.
After the SG12/13 subcommittee meetings, in particular, some 30 committee members of Study Groups 11, 12, 13, and 19 gathered to discuss the formation of Study Group representatives and measures to cross check main issues standing among Study Groups. At the international meetings in Geneva, some 30 Korean experts were scheduled to participate while more than 50 contributing papers were set to be presented for their submission to the ITU-T.
