SEOUL, KOREA — Korea Electronics Association is promoting a large-scale business cooperation with 10 electronics and IT organizations from Brazil and Argentina, as an attempt to attract local buyers and support Korean businesses in expanding in South American market where 2014 World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympics, both to be held in Brazil, are already increasing demand in establishing electronic and IT infrastructure.
By holding a joint exhibition and signing an MoU for finding new buyers with Brazilian Association of Electrical and Electronics Industry (ABINEE), the country’s largest electronics organization; Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES), and Chamber of Software and Computer Services (CESSI) of Argentina, KES began exchanging buyers and has agreed on joint planning for a company exchange meeting as well.
KES, having established an “IT Value Chain” with associations that represent hardware, software, and information technology industries of Brazil and Argentina, two countries representative of South America, is planning to spur the efforts to expand the globalization of Korean electronics and IT industries by securing powerful buyers and supporting domestic small and medium businesses that have entered South American markets.
