SEOUL, KOREA – Suh Jong-ryeol, president of Korea Internet Security Agency, had a special talk with Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple, at the “End of PC Era and Future of IT Industry,” a special session at the 7th Jeju Forum held in Haevich Hotel & Resort, May 31.
The discussion went on for about one hour regarding the story behind the foundation and success of Apple, the latest trends and prospects of the IT industry, and the response from Korean companies. This discussion was held in the presence of middle, high school, and college students in the Jeju community, as well as IT-related entrepreneurs.
“Creativity and innovation became critical as a driving force of constant development, in order to respond to the rapidly changing IT environment,” said Mr. Suh. He explained, “Korea, too, must establish a creative external environment in residences and companies so that we can also produce global IT masters. I would like to send a hopeful message to Korean students and people who are planning to start up their own business.”
Steve Wozniak is a legendary name in the IT industry who, after co-founding Apple with Steve Jobs, developed Apple PC, which opened the door to the current personal computer era. He represents a great example of someone who constantly pursues new challenges for the development of information technology.
